Siemens MicroCAT IIMicroCAT II is a compact, self-shielded unit capable of imaging rodents and tissue specimens as large as 40 mm in diameter and 85 mm in length in a single bed position with available multi-bed acquisitions. The system provides resolutions ranging from 10 to 100 mircon voxels. In its moderate and low-resolution modes (40 and 100 micron voxels), radiations dosages are low enough to support serial study within the same animal. The system includes software and hardware components for physiologic monitoring and gating of image acquisition to overcome motion artifacts associated with respiration.
